This is probably my favorite Opeth album. For some reason it was easier to get into this CD and keep listening than the others. Great review as well.

It's nothing compared to Morningrise.. The amount of emotion that album holds will never stop blowing me away.

This album is good, but there's something missing. That crunchy old Opeth sound that this record kind of.. lacks.
The album is great, lotsa progression, but something about it feels too.. barren. Take Ghost of Perdition and put it next to The Leper Affinity, and it sounds like they took the punch out of it, you know? Mabye it's just Roadrunner.
But 3.5 from me, just doesn't feel like Opeth.

grand conjuration sometime is too good. I completely adore that song. One of the top 5 opeth songs overall for me. I still find this album a bit bland overall though..

I do love Still Life, I jusr prefer this, BP, Damnation, and Orchid by a small margin. I've bee listening to Still Life quite a bit lately.

is Blackwater park really all its hyped up to be? because that probably the next Opeth album i spring for but is it heavyer like i like or more progressive?

Hey Confessed, you were at the Pyramids gig then? Awesome! Off Ghost Reveries, Ghost of Perdition was fvcking good live, as was The Grand Conjuration. Of course all the rest of their material was pretty amaZing too.
