That was exactly why I held off on putting the review up... Just enough time for people to sink their teeth into it for end of year lists.

There's no fucking way what you guys call a "post-hardcore" album could ever be an album of any year.

I wasn't too impressed with Emery's other albums, but if you say it's this good than I may have to try it.

Apparently you've never heard of Brand New then and the love affair here with them.

Yeah, give it a go Gregory. Personally, I feel this is clearly their best. Definitely their most consistent.... Basically exactly what bloc said.
Not sure Brand New is post-hardcore JWT!

I'd definitely consider Deja Entendu Post-Hardcore, they also began touring with bands like Finch and Taking Back Sunday so there's no doubt they have Post-Hardcore roots at least.

That was just the right time for DavID to pop up. LOL.
Ummm, no, Brand New are not post-hardcore. Some of the stuff on their new abum is so all over the place that it could be considered it (EG: "We need vicessssssssssssssssssssssss"), but Deja is definitely not post-hardcore. 'Tommy Gun' is like the exact opposite.
Oh & neither is Taking Back Sunday. Just laying it out for you JWT... In a nicer way than Atavan. Coz I'm nice & he's evil.

Maybe tomorrow, just flossed. Listen to Emery's new cd and you might be able to get off a good jerk or 2 though.
"By the way this album == average"
My roomate's GF's favorite band is Emery so I've grown fond of them and consider myself slightly biased in my rating.

Finally got around to giving this a listen. Very good but not anywhere remotely close to the best post-hardcore record ever, there's a lot of been-there-done-that on this.

Come on gents, calm down... It's the holiday season.
tombits, go away. Your rating of this album is too low for you to be here. ;-)
Fair enough Strizz. Glad you liked it though.
"Weezer toured with Angels and Airwaves." Please... Please... tell me this was the other way around. LOL.

"Even if I reversed it, it would remain the same. The two bands toured together." I know... But it's such an injustice the way it's written down.
"Best post hardcore ever????... Really?" In the reviewers opinion.

Don't worry, the reviewer hasn't listened to any post-hardcore from before 2005.

Ya, I just listened to it.
Pretty boring tbh, 2.5, maybe a 3. I mean there's catchy parts, but idk.

I'll give it a few more listens before rating it, because it was starting to grow on me before it finished and Emperor came on.

It's a tight record but CK's just overzealous

It's not bad, I just don't think it really stands out in any way.
