is it just the version I got or is the production really bad on this?

I had such low expectations coming into this one. Been a fan since 1999, huge fan, like... they are my favourite band fan. Art of Drowning is my favourite and StS, although not my favourite is their best piece of work as a group. Decemberunderground was really disappointing, one song on that I still listen to regularly? The rest is when I let my music library sort of just go off on its own and I just don't really notice.

This album, although really bouncy and happy compared to other albums for sure, is actually really good... really catchy. Another departure from previous AFI sounds, but it's been played regularly since its release. I do agree you Asiatic, I actually feel the album begins to taper off a little bit for Cold Hands and It Was Mine, luckily the 4 bonus tracks are fantastic.

I like it better than Black Sails in the Sunset actually. The production is fine, I don't see the complaints.

This band was dead to me after Sing the Sorrow. Good review– I'll check it out. As long as I never have to look at the album art. Ever.

You people are highly misinformed, Sing the Sorrow was epic in almost every way. Go listen to This Celluloid Dream and tell me that's a bad song and I'll show you someone who has a mental problem.

Sing The Sorrow is an excellent album, anyone can make a case that it's their best, although I think that title belongs to The Art of Drowning. This, on the other hand, I still haven't gotten. I thought it would suck after DU, but the few singles I've heard are awesome.

Overall I find it a tad bit weaker than DU as Davey doesn't really hit the high notes as well however a good album throughout.

STS weaker than DU? I don't see how that's possible. It's stronger, more emotional, well crafted, and better sounding in every way. DU had some great stuff, but equally bad and misplaced stuff as well.

No I meant I find Crash Love slightly weaker than DU. Sing the Sorrow owns both those albums but I think it's pretty tied with TAOD and BSITS

I wish they would have used the inner booklet art instead of the chosen cover, it's a lot cooler
