This and Impossibility of Reason are still dope. Give them a listen once in a while and enjoy them the way I did 10-15 years ago.

IoR, this, and Resurrection are all fire.

Resurrection definitely has it's moments too, true. Even Pass Out of Existence had some great simplistic, raw jams like Dead Inside and Sp Lit. Even The Infection had great ideas and lots of potential.....for me, a big part of that album was the flimsy weak production of it. Band sounded flat.

These guys sucked live though. I saw them with Unearth years ago, and Unearth was miles better.

I think that was the first real heavy show I saw too. Skeletonwitch opened I think.

What year? I could believe it that they were trash if you're not talking like at 10 years ago at a minimum. A lot of personnel changes too over the years.

2011 I think. Right after Age of Hell was released.

So great to see, Bloc. Chimaira in their prime is still probably a top 5 favorite band of all time of mine.

Yeah this album is a stone cold classic. The riffs are endless and the production is timeless. Rob is such a great guitarist
Band lost it after Resurrection imo though

Yep band fell off HARD after Resurrection. This and Impossibility are just too dope though.

I have a soft spot for The Infection. That was the first record I ever owned by these dudes. Also those songs were pretty killer in a live setting.

their post-Res stuff has some good songs, they're just woefully inconsistent albums that don't have the same thematic consistency and vibe that this does. plus they just slowed down and wrote too many god damn songs about weed after Mark became a stoner.

The Infection honestly has some great ideas and memorable grooves. A big part of the problem for me was the frail, softened production that made the band sound weak compared to their prime albums.
