phil meanders between very folky and not folky at all. if you want his non-folk shit, then this album and black wooden ceiling opening are your best bet. don't skip out on his folkier shit though, song islands vol. 2 has some of his best work

Yeah, Lost Wisdom is fucking amazing. He recorded a few of the songs from Dawn on that, and yes, DeafMetal is right on point; Julie Doiron is heavenly. Her voice is both soothing and unsettling, all at once.
Sorry, Lucidity, just making sure. I'd throw No Flashlight into the mix as well. It's definitely more on the folky side of the coin, but still really cool.
