POD has a greatest hits? You learn something every day.
I only recently listened to all of Disturbed's albums. I like the last 2 a fair bit, while the first 2 are hit & miss.

sam here with Disturbed, I like the last two more, I especially like Indestructible.
Yeah P.O.D. has a greatest hits album which I proudly own. They must be the most mainstream band I love, they just have that something+they are a band from my childhood who i still enjoy+they got me into metal+they have very likable lyrics+Traa is a cool bassist. Too bad that their last album was pretty weak tho.

I kept getting them confused for Puddle Of Mudd at one stage.

POD are okay, their Greatest Hits record is great. I like Disturbed quite a bit, they were probably my favourite band when I was big into Nu Metal, but I like Ten Thousand Fists and Indestructible a lot still. As for Papa Roach, I'll probably never listen to them again until they bring out another album, if they do, that is.
Puddle of Mud never did it for me.This Message Edited On 04.16.09

Puddle Of Mudd are terrible I sure hope you don't particulary like them Davey, since P.O.D. is like a god compared to them.
As for Papa Roach, I still spin Infest every once and a while, but that's about all. Maybe some of the best tracks from this album too (state of emergency and lifeline and into the light)

No no, metalstyles, it was more the band's names coz I think I always abbreviated them to POM for some reason.

They have a song on the radio that isn't too shabby........except for the shat singing. Guitar riff is cool but repeats itself throughout the entire song. Am I just describing this album?

I'm unsure which song that would be wiz. I actually think the singles are weak on this album, but yeah you are pretty spot on. There are a few neat riffs on here that don't really evolve as songs move along. The album is probably worse as a whole, since there are some songs that don't even have good riffs.

the only radio single is lifeline, and that description pretty much fit the bill

I think you might be right. I just find that song so run-of-the-mill & nearing bland.

Lifeline is actually pretty ok compared to the centre part of this album tbh. But yeah, Wiz, you are prety spot on, this album has some pretty neat riffs here and there but overally it's pretty poor/mediocre.

That's the stupidest album cover I've ever seen.

Yeah, it's 4 times worse than the new Chris Cornell album.

I gave Paramour Sessions another few spins, and while I admit my nu-metal comment was a little off, I'll still take this one. PS didn't have any really bad songs (tracks 4 and 7 off this one are bad), but no real good ones either. I Almost... and Live This Down are bad ones off this album, but Change Or Die, Into The Light, and Nights Of Love are just awesome.

I cringed as I read this review. I was hoping for some of redemption for Papa Roach.
Oh well.

Not really. Getting Away With Murder was a major improvement. And the album after that wasnt bad so really, heer is where they declined. Hollywood Whore is still amazing though.

At least you're sticking to your guns JE34.
I'm hoping it wasn't the actual review that made you cringe Hawkster.
This is definitely no 'Infest' Atlantic11.
Then again, as Balls states, this doesn't match up to any of their albums really. I still feel 'The Paramour Sessions' was under-rated.
