LOL at that YouTube clip; The Grandparents song!
Oh no, not The Ting Tings. What have I done? I should have known to wait until I was just about to go on holidays & then started asking Ross questions.

Haha that may have been a better idea. To be honest I'm not sure whether I would prefer to listen to old Crazy or the Ting Tings, both leave my ears in pain.

Ross, it is funny that we are even having this discussion you know & I'll tell you why. I still haven't reviewed or rated any album as a 1. But I don't want to go for the obvious (Soulja Boy, Crazy Frog, etc...) & want something that I "MAY" like.
I was going to ask you earlier if there was a British artist who had just one album that may be considered for such a honour, but before I did, I had a look through your reviews and found an option... A lov-er-lee option. This will be interesting. Maybe I can listen to said album when scouting for girls in the Kent region.

Haha what makes you think you wouldn't like soulja boi / crazy frog xD. But yeah I was personally really disappointed with the Scouting For Girls album (hence the rating) but I'd still recommend giving it a listen (even if it is just the one). Who knows, you might like it more than I did.
Other albums you may like (but probably won't) would be The Hoosiers debut and the Madina Lake debut, both of which were pretty bland and insiped (IMO).

Something just gives me the feeling Souja Frog ain't my thing.
My pop leanings may mean that the catchiness of Scouting For Girls will impress me to some extent. The lead single (which is the only song of theirs I have heard) definitely caught my ear, but on subsequent listening, the repetitiveness of it definitely got to me.
I haven't heard anything by The Hoosiers, but have heard Madina Lake (who I have also seen live) and the stronger songs off that LP I actually quite liked, even if their wasn't great depth to the album.

They are somewhat similar in vocals but the beats are different. I liked them and found the music catchy and entertaining.

It's music, who cares how it looks... It's how it sounds that matters.
looks = my perception of how it will sound

DavID, you only said that because you know that you like a few of those bands! Stirrer.
Well said Donkey. You are correct that the underlying music between MGMT & EotS ar different... Although they both contain a sort of throwback 60s vibe.
"looks = my perception of how it will sound" Haha. Perception sometimes doe not equal reality. Although, in the case of EotS, it sort of does I guess.
