I think I was being a little vague. I definitely don't want them bringing in clean vocals or keyboards. My main wish is that they let the music breathe a little. It seems that every song is almost entirely covered with vocals. I want them to expand their music and let it have some time too. I just think a concept album would be a good way to go about doing that because it provides direction and forces the music (hopefully) to conform to a theme. The subject matter could be in the direction of 28 Days Later or some other horror/gore thing and that would still be fine.
Edit: Oh yeah, and I know it'll never happen. I'm just hoping out loud. This Message Edited On 02.09.09

I found this to be a bit on the boring side and since this wasn't all that enjoyable, I'm guessing that I'm not going to like anything else from their discography.

You can try what Benzum is saying, but I only like this one and "Kill" and there seems to be more than a few people that feel the same way. At least you're trying.
Oh yeah, nice avatar Benzum.

I say give more Corpsgrinder era albums more of a chance. Most people that like Corpsgrinder's stuff don't like Barnes' albums, so i would recommend their first albums then, but i still think that there are better corpsgrinder era albums than this.
And yeah TOTM and BAB both slay this and KILL.This Message Edited On 02.11.09

this album kills! Even if they aren't reinventing themselves on every record. This is the best death metal you can get. Pat Obrien is a sick guitar player. Webster is an awesome song writer and Paul is awesome Lyricist. Evisceration Plague, Cauldron Of Hate and To Decompose are already CC classic for me.

Never have I heard a band so consistently terrible in all my days.. and quite frankly, I don't think I ever will. I mean, I'll give them credit for doing something a smidge different than the rest of their albums, but in all honesty, it's still very much the same. I'm not going to bag on the lyrics or subject matter, to each their own, but if they could at least do something different, for heaven's sakes.
Yell at me, I don't really care, because that's all CC's been doing throughout their career.

Excellent album, I don't know whether I like it better than Kill or not though

Im always down to check out CC. Most people from my age group can't help themselves. And Ill have to say KILL and this are pretty much heavier than all their other albums. CC has never been really technical, except the bass, which is totally underrated IMO. This is a fun album to throw on for kicks. I mean shit, its Cannibal Corpse, they are hilarious.
