Was I really the only person the that gave this review a thumbs down? This review was a political statement than it was an actual review of the album. I give you credit for analyzing the lyrics well but that is all this review is, an analysis of the lyrics. Floyd albums have always been about flow and atmosphere along with their lyrics that are generally left open for some interpretation. The lyrics are just one part and reviewing the album based almost solely on the lyrics would lead on to believe that the greatness of this album is based on who wins the political debate, not the fact that Floyd has released some great music that can you can appreciate even if you don't like the message. We can see with bands like Rage Against the Machine that politically charged lyrics are only one part of the equation. Capturing the mood whether you agree with the lyrics or not, that is represented by quality song writing is the other.

I'm just saying most people don't really pay attention to criticism on their reviews from two years prior.

I do mention musical aspects of the album a number times in the review. Also there are several other reviews which give more than enough description of what it sounds like - the whole point of this was to shed light on its context and background, which in my opinion is far more significant than the simple composition of the album. Musically this is great, but it's not amazing - the concept of the record is what makes it a classic.
