Very good album except it just doesn't have the gut punch that Chapter 1: Delirium has. That's the best thing from the doom genre I've heard so far.

This is a very good album, and I find it enjoyable to listen to, but I just can't give it a 4 yet. Excellent review as always!

It's agonizingly slow, somber, and dark.

The first track felt much shorter than 6 minutes. And thats saying alot considering which genre of music this is. Im excited for the rest of the songs

I already started downloading Dooom though and I'm not going to cancel the download lol. I listened to a few songs from Dooom on youtube to get me prepared so I think I'll be alright.

I just remember listening to it a few months back and being bored out of my mind. Even since hearing Let There Be A Massacre (by Sol) though Ive been looking for more doom so i might work my way back to them and maybe enjoy them this time around.

But you really have to hear this. Ive lsitened to it twice in a row which is previously unheard of with me and a doom album. The atmospheres are grandiose and every song sounds epic

I've really been in a doom mood lately too. So far today I've listened to Turning Season Within twice and Songs of Moors and Misty Fields once. Hopefully my Dooom download works.

Yeah thats another one I want to check out. I listened to a song from that album too and it was amazing. There's so much more good doom metal out there than I thought.

Esoteric don't match Skepticism or Worship, I find some of their earlier work pretty drab, but The Maniacal Vale is an excellent album.
