Definitely a guilty pleasure, but I understand and mostly agree with all the reasons people say they suck.

The Sadness Never Ends is one of the biggest Underoath rip-offs I've ever heard.

Except there are riffs and breakdowns directly lifted from Underoath songs, and Architects didn't always sound how they do now... and are ripping off Underoath now.

You're kidding right??? You think this is the immature album? Quite a few of the songs on this album are about how one of his friends committed suicide and are quite serious like the song "Suicide Season" itself or "The Sadness Will Never End" and "It Was Written in Blood." I mean of course there are some fun ones that don't really have anything to do with that like "Diamonds Aren't Forever" or "Football Season is Over" but this is much more mature lyric wise compared to "Count Your Blessings." I don't mean to put down "Count Your Blessings" I really liked that album too. You also said, "Horizon also have a tendency to drown their listeners in breakdowns – another rather fairly unpleasant musical sensation." What's up with people now a days disrespecting breakdowns??? They sound great and are the essence of moshing when played live.
