Odd, considering how much heavy rock stuff you're into.

This album is average and not worthy of 11 pages of comment.

I listened to it this afternoon, some nice rhythmic interplay and good hooks with a lot of the vocals but overall very little really standing out when compared to the vast sea of other metal acts out there and certainly nothing mindblowing.

I was expecting this so I enjoyed it all the more for it however, I could spin this every now and then for the hell of it.

So disappointed in this album. This is what i waited four years for? a slightly heavier Stone Sour? This is by far my biggest dissapointment of 08 as i had really high hopes for this album.Gematria, the title track, and the Snuff are all good listens but they don't save this album from mediocrity. So sad...

a seemingly prophetic judgement

the bonus tracks weren't even interesting, bar perhaps vermilion 2

Wow people said this was a bad review? I am disappointed with the people of sputnikmusic. The review was well written, I have been pursuaded into giving this a listen and I don't even like this band, all their songs have a sameness about them but then again I say that about this entire genre. This Message Edited On 08.25.08

Metal most certainly does not sound all the same. Shame bestoweth upon you sir.
I've settled on a 3 for this album, it's pretty fun. There's nothing new here and it's not their best album by any means (that title still lays with the s/t in my opinion) but it's fun like I said, and I just generally enjoyed it.
