I don't like this. Some tracks on Nocturne were pretty good though.

You're probably an overweight, pale, hairy, smelly dude that gets aroused by writing reviews of bad albums and believing you're a scholar.

i was never a huge fan of this band i liked there last release and this CD is a whole lot diffrent from there last one IMO i feel the reviewer was a little to harsh on this cd i liked it cause i guess i have a small case of musical ADD but then again im not really into this band that much and yeah sometimes they do feel Protest The Hero rip-offish

A Violent Strike is really really good, the end climax is fucking outstanding.
unfortunately, that's about the best thing on this cd as the rest of it is either really mediocre or really really bad.

"A Violent Strike" is one of their best songs. The verses in the beginning sound so sick, but he really sounds like a faggot in the soft sections.
And "Metanoia" is pretty sick too.

As I write this review, I am not listening to Midheaven. As I write this review, I am not listening to Nocturne. No, as I write this review, I am listening to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. It's not because I'm about to make draw some profound parallel between The Human Abstract and Wilco, it's because Midheaven is such a blatantly uninteresting album that I've dreaded re-playing it. If only that were an option.
Wow i really cannot agree with this review what so ever. Anyone writing a review about a band and listening to something other than whats being reviewed should not be in this business. I think you've completely overlooked this album, This album rocks, Every song on the album is very Listenable, and nothing lacks emotion what so ever. Maybe you shouldn't be reviewing music you are not interested in, let alone someone who states in their opening paragraph "I have been unconditionally hard on The Human Abstract". Find a new job buddy. And for those of you, who base their musical interest upon what an amateur thinks, You should start opening your eyes and experiencing life and great music.
