His voice is definitely an acquired taste for sure, this album makes it easy peasy to adjust to though. Shallow and Arriving Somewhere are unreal.

It's specifically the lyrics for me. They come off as very cut rate and even a little juvenile at times. Just not up to par with the instrumental for the most part.
