How can you quote people in your comment? I want to show what master567 said about The Mars Volta and then point out that he likes Breaking Benjamin...haha

It's my fave behind Cygnus, took me a sec to realize how good it was (As soon as I grew accustommed to the Chirps)

I have to agree with IsItLuck?, it's very hard to compare De-Loused and Frances the Mute... they're so damn different. De-Loused is almost non-stop rockin out, with some pretty sad sounding songs, while Frances is full of ambient noise and has a couple of ballad like songs on it. Both are excellent though. I wonder what the new one sounds like...

Awesome album. If Cassandra wasn't a bit dull at some moments, it would've been 5/5. It's the hardest Volta album to get into though, my advice is to get another one if you're new to the band.

He may have a cool name, but he's been a total douche elsewhere on the site.

I just listened to this album while studying for a huge test, and I had forgotten how amazing it is.
Isis don't cram stupid, unnecessary ambience into every one of their songs. There are some great moments on this album, but excuse me for not wanting to sit through four minutes of bird noises.
Isis does have a good deal of ambience, and TMV don't cram it into EVERY song. There's very little of it on the new record.

Its something I enjoy, and so does John. It's definitely not for everyone.

Whoever Dulcinea is (chan?) I like him/her/it. They can spell. And form reasonable arguments. And he's right. There is far too much wanking on this album. I mean, seriously, I'm down with the whole prog rock wankery thing but this album just does it way too much. The Widow is awesome though.

I personally didn't like the review. It just says what happens in the songs, and not so much your opinion on the album. This Message Edited On 02.21.07
