I never hated it, but never really liked it all that much either. Perhaps I should spin it again like you guys...

It only does something for me after I've listened to the 4 before this like 92903840238402384 times that particular week and need something a little extra

Holy fck, 22 years ago this was released. Time flies gentlemen, and this one aged pretty well. Never lost its impact on me, never will I guess.

Aha I think 22 years ago was the exact year when I went from Metallica to Slipknot/other nu-metal. Ah, good times.

They had a great run from Vulgar to Trendkill but listening to this always reminds me how disappointed I was when I first heard it upon release. There are some good riffs here and there but this album really does sound like it was a struggle to create. Even the album art seems uninspired, sad really for such a great band.

Band was kinda always powered by a very specific strain of post-cold war alienation so ig it's only fitting they wouldn't make it far in the Hybrid Theory era

It’s about 2nd or 3rd best for me, with Trendkill still being my unwavering No.1. But it’s very nice to see at least some love for this one around here. They were still on top of their game for sure.
