I don't think that the fact that The Wall is a depressing album is enough to bring it down (haha, bring down the wall)

I'd agree with that. It's pretty hard to hear such great musicianship and be depressed, unless it's because you're jealous of Gilmour's painfully good solos.

Haha^.
After listening to this a lot, I have decided I like the first disc. better.
Although Two out of my four favorite songs are found pn the second disc.
My favorite are: Mother, Goodbye Blue Sky, Hey You, and Comfortably Numb.

No way^. Dude, that song is awesome and it doesn't over-stay its welcome like a lot of prog/psychedelic bands tend to do with their songs.

This is not quite as good as 'Dark Side Of The Moon' but is still a very deep listening expeience, esp. 'Mother', though some filler could have been cut off. It does drag sometimes: 'In The Flesh'; still, it's better than most of the garbage put out recently. Strange how you can say that about an album made in the 70's. *:-)

All of the songs on here were necessary to telling the story of the wall, if they would have cut out any it wouldn't have worked. ANd in the flesh rocks

Roger Waters sublimely constructs a surreal world of his own, and then invites you to watch as he tears it apart on this fantastically addictive double-album. Anal sex.

Amazing album, maybe a bit hard to get through at points, but still, the storyline is just amazing and when you're listenening actively it's a a great experience.

At the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame there was this massive wall, i.e. "The Wall", with that teacher dude from the movie above it and Roger Water's writing all over it telling the story of how he wrote the album. Pretty cool. This Message Edited On 03.15.07
