I've played the horn for 4 years, and the tuba for 7 years. I've been playing piano for 4 years now, and have a training of musical theory for 7 years. I'm not a genius at any of these though.. I have an old farfisa organ too and a couple of recorders, guitars, etc.

I've always wanted to play some of those instruments but I don't have enough for that
I'm thinking of entering a class of learning guitar though, and is bass really different from it or much the same, as it looks?

The strings are much thicker on bass than guitar, so the strings feel different. Also play style is different as guitar is played with a pick, and bass is played fingers (you can play bass with a pick, but I prefer fingers). There are different techniques as well.
