I’ve listened to Mother Love Bone, THEYRE FINE. I guess I’ll give you a pass for being a #notmygrunge boomer, but you better get with the times, old man.

i agree, if you listened to old school grunge and the shit soundgarden did, audioslave is definitely watered the fk down
still tho i feel the hero of this band is timmy c because he plays that bass so damn loud that morello's stuff doesn't blow you away even when it should, like in your time has come. also, even though the lyrics aint much, chris' voice is still magical

Album rules, but band definitely leaves something to be desired. Soundgarden were better. Rage Against The Machine were better as well.
But this album slays so it doesn't matter

I’m with wazza 90%. I can’t stomach the sly dig at Nirvana though.

“I also never really cared too much for Chris' vocals or projection. It seemed a little forced 100% of the time.”
You mean on here or in general?

I always found his performances with Soundgarden and TOTD as well as some of his solo stuff to be incredibly powerful and his vocal range was really impressive. Love his singing style and timbre. Unfortunately he couldn’t pull it off at live performances, lacking precision above all.

@Typhoon: Haven’t seen this one but yea, shows pretty clearly what I meant. Not a bad performance though...
@Aiwaz: Don’t know much about that story tbh. Any recs on where to read up about it?

I have always like Cornell's singing. Over the top, sure, but he could pull it off.

Fucking stone cold classic. Saw them four times on this tour cycle — the show at the tabernacle in Atlanta (an gothic old church converted into a music venue) was fucking ridiculous, also saw them at Lollapalooza in St. Louis with Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus and Jane’s Addiction.
Fuck I miss being young and seeing every show, traveling to shows etc. Becomes difficult to travel to shows once you have kids.
