oh and the best thing about this is how the guitar, bass, drums, and vocals are all good. usually the bass is nonexistent in death metal, but you can hear it in every song on none so vile. This Message Edited On 02.26.08

None So Vile is by far the most technical Death Metal album ever. Flo Mounier is the best drummer in Death Metal and probably always will be and even though you probably cant understand one word Lord Worm growls/screams, he is great too. All of these songs kill so i dont really have a favorite.

Ever heard George Kollias? He's pretty mean too.

You should've started with something a little more easy to digest, this may turn you off.

I had been into death metal for a year before hearing this and I didn't like it the first time I heard it.

Good luck.

This was my first DM album a few years ago and it (being Phobophile) singlehandedly got me into the genre.

It won't be completely new. The closest thing to death metal I have is Opeth, BTBAM and Converge. I don't think any of those bands are that br00tal so this might not turn me off. I dunno we'll see!

Yeah I'm pretty much expecting something that makes Opeth sound like TLC.

Edit: I just Youtube'd the first two tracks and it doesn't turn me off at all. The only thing I'm not used to is the lack of melody but it seems like something I can easily get over. This Message Edited On 03.24.08

there's plenty of melody but it's not 'melodic' and the melody is usually really jarring and discordant
