or f#a#oo. same kinda thing.

except that album is more of a post-apocalyptic thing. this is what the actual apocalypse would sound like. it's like being sucked into a black hole.

i never understood why f#a# is said to be a post apocalyptic thing. ok fine i haven't listened to it, but i once wrote a literary commentary on the lyrics for the Dead Flag Blues and the lyrics seemed very its-happening-now-apocalyptic to me

well it's really only the first movement of that song. everything else after is trying to survive and rebuild.

LYSF is way more grandiose but I think the atmosphere on F# is unparalleled, they both try for completely different things IMO, and both succeed in them. Also, all the talk on this page got me to pick this up Im gonna give it a listen when im done with the album im currently on, better be good.

thats crazy about the guitarist killing himself because he couldn't play... that's the most insane passion for music.

lysf is better by miles than f#a# imho. i mean, lysf makes me nervous just to think about. its just an absolutely riveting, hour-and-a-half long vision of excitement, fear, confusion, loss, euphoria, idk... it's like a blinding light you can't even look at.

it's 100% worth the mounds of hyperbolic claim it receives.
