I'll tell you buddy, i've known, spun and loved a majority of tunes here for almost an entire year but for some reason only now i'm fully appreciating this album's greatness.

To me this was one of those albums that my dad introduced to me before I was ready; five or six years later I revisited it and slowly it started to click. Now at least 8 years have passed since I first heard this album and it's now a very strong contender for my Top 5 of all time. Cornell's vocals are absolutely breathtaking here and the songwriting is almost as good.

Absolutely buddy. This is where Cornell went from being a great dude who sang pretty well to a fantastic vocalist, songwriter and frontman. Here, on Badmotorfinger and Superunknown he's in top form.

Cornell is a bit hit-or-miss on Down on the Upside imo. He's not up to snuff on "Dusty," "Never Named," the god-awful "No Attention" and to a lesser extent the overall-great-but-vocally-subpar "Pretty Noose," but he turns in a beautiful performance on "Zero Chance" and he's an absolute beast on tracks such as "Ty Cobb," "Blow Up the Outside World," "Tighter and Tighter" and "Overfloater," the latter of which is probably my favorite Soundgarden song from what I've heard.

He's stunning from start to finish on Badmotorfinger and Superunknown, though.

I completely disagree on Pretty Noose, he's very strong there in my opinion.

I don't think he's weak anywhere on the album, my only problem with DotU is the pointlessness of Switch Opens, everywhere else I was blown away even on more alt tracks like No Attention and Never Named (2 frequent target, which I get it they're not as grunge as the rest of the album, but honestly I don't mind.)

Oh i love his vocals on Dusty and Never Named, and No Attention is a pretty great tune in my eyes. I honestly think Cornell sounds great every time i hear him sing, but this and bmf-superunknown are on another level.

Lol probably, but revisiting it from 2016 isn't a bad deal as well.
