ya one of the comments from the bands said that james vox weren't recorded to a click so it would have been a bitch to sync

I'm not entirely sure about that.

But even if your assumption is true, it might have to do with the fact that metalheads are not THAT crazy

about 'Tallica as they were 12 years ago.

That's very true, but considering all of the stuff that has come out in the realms of metal since this, people seem to understand that while this isn't very good, there's MUCH worse out there now and so they don't really hate it as much.

That's just my take on it though.

The documentary SKOAM might be another reason as to why metalheads are not so negative about this album

anymore. I mean those days (2000-2003) was the strangest and weirdest period in the band's career.

Yeah, there was a lot of turmoil in that period.

That's very true, I have said it countless times before, the only reason I didn't like this album, is because it's a truly bad album for Metallica's standards. There is much worse out there, that's for sure.

Ya if this was any other band, it would be an average rock album.

I agree with you, while this isn't a terrible album generally speaking, it's a bad Metallica album.

Yeah, I mean it's a painful experience listening to a guy who wrote the lyrics for songs such as For Whom the Bell Tolls and One, singing Frantic tic tic tic toc

St Anger ruled when I was 11 but every listen since has been extremely inconsistant. My rating has ranged from a 2 to a 4. It's at a 3 as of now but I'm sure it'll change by next listen.

The redo of the t/t made me realize just how much Lars's snare impacted the sound. I was expecting the CLANG, CLANG in the intro once the double bass kicks in but I just got the normal snare tone.
