Just saw them in Ventura... I haven't listened to all of this album yet, but their live sound was pretty bland. Underoath was awesome though.

first of all, dont bash on them just because they are christian, who gives a damn? I listen to Slayer, Job for a cowboy, along with Hollywood Undead, and these guys, and i have seen all but SLayer live, and TDWP had the roughest mosh going. i do agree that the clean vocals have got to go...they gay the band up, and make them sound like Alesana...ewww.

but i want you to show me one band that sounds like them, just one, because i cant find one. and if you show me that band, i will most likely listen to them to.

I could give you at least 5 bands off the top of my head that sound ridiculously similar to TDWP really...I'm sick of people saying that clean vocals "gay bands up" or whatever, and they don't make them sound like Alesana at all.

That said, album is great idc what anybody sez...

The Devil Wears Prada is a group that started with a bunch of 18 and 19 year-olds. For being as inexperienced as they were, their first album was quality. Plagues, in my opinion, is even better because it shows that they have experienced growth and will continually get better. There are nuances and inequalities that are so musically pleasing, and I'm guessing that the majority of people on this site are listening to TDWP through their crappy iPod buds or right out of their computers. That's no way to listen to music, so it's no wonder Chiodos and TDWP are so hated here. These guys are young and the possibilities for their future efforts are promising. Oh and, by the way guys, music is 100% subjective. It doesn't matter if 1000 people hate a band and only 10 love them or vice versa - a person's taste in music is relative to their own personality, experiences, and general life experience. Once you realize that sites like Sputnik have influenced your "high taste" in music, you'll see that you actually have less of your own taste. You're taste is f***ing paid for with ads. not a particularly original album, not a particularly original band however a band that plays metalcore far better than most of its competitors.

these guys are bad.

I met these guys when they came to Marquette, MI. They named their band after the book because they all read it and enjoyed it. Great set of guys! I introduced them to Squirt, the pop, and talked to them for a good long while. Though no longer into the metalcore scene, I used to find these guys pretty appealing but now I just can't get into them.
