hwat
oh wait you're talking about the album
|
| |
am i correct in assuming that most of you have different versions of this?
i'm new to classical shit but i can't imagine you guys have any sort of original versions of this right? just various iterations by other orchestras and shit?
|
| |
of course
i'm of the opinion, though, that when you start talking about historically great performances, most people can't differentiate the differences. one of the few pieces for which i can critique a performance is (the first movement of) elgar's cello concerto, and that's only because i've listened to it probably >200 times. the rest? i base my ranking on whatever performance i listened to with the assumption that listening to another performance wouldn't drastically change my rating (ofc i look up "good" performances online or ask my classically-inclined friends)
naturally people who are into classical music are different, particularly if they played in an orchestra (or whatever) themselves. i'm sure a few users on this site (liledman, taylormemer, havey, gian to list four) can critique a performance of even a piece new to them

I THINK THIS IS LIKE A 3.5 OR SOMETHING.

Album Rating: 5.0
