I hear a lot of intricacy, some technicality and a fair few great riffs here and there but no
memorable melodies, it like they're trying to go so gun-ho and rox everyone's sox off so much they
forgot about it. Still pretty good though all around. This Message Edited On 12.19.08

Lol, this is their most melodic album yet.

Guess I probably wouldn't want to know what their other albums are like ...

Good review, but you must have listened to this on a weak system because the bass is completely audible for me. He does some pretty neat stuff every now and then, but is mainly the rhythm backbone playing off of the drummer.

I love the solo in Full Imperial Collapse. It reminds me of the song Jordon by Buckethead lol.

The genre maybe debatable, but what isn't is the fact this is awesome.
Their best record so far, Tunguska and Fire in the Skies are the best on here IMO.

"Tunguska" and "Fire in the Skies" are definitely among the best, but "Doomsayer" is by far the best track. That bridge section is just amazing.

title track is my favorite.

The whole album is damned good

The title track has slowly grown on me. At first I found it indistinguishable really, but it definitely has a character and vibe of its own. The band has stated that the song was a taste of what their recent album was to sound like.

Great review. One of my favorite albums of all time. It's a shame Kris Norris is no longer their guitar player, although the new guy on Eternal Return fills the void in an acceptable way.
Favorite song is Demon(s), great lyrics and awesome guitar solo.
