Instrumentally this is pretty good, but listening to the same vocal pitch and lyrical subjects gets a bit tiring by the end of the day.

He's actually really good live now, not even joking. I don't really like the new stuff but if his harsh vocals sounded on Daybreaker like they do live it would be way better.
Nightmares, Ruin and Hollow Crown>Anything else they've done.

Except the "To The Death" rerecording in 2008 is fucking sick. One of my favourite Architects songs to listen to. And Broken Clocks.

Better and worse than its precessor for various reasons. Better because the guitar tone and songwriting is generally well executed and the longer songs seem to embrace more experimentation, making room for musical brilliance at times. Worse because Sam carter's harsh vocals are a bit of a downfall to be honest, and especially against a background of tight, solid instrumentation. However, when he sings cleanly the harmonization is well received, and very well placed too. 'Always' and 'I can't see the light' are both brilliantly performed, as is the ambitious 'Low'.
