Bleed it out is a decent song, it's my guilty pleasure but I hate everything else about this album.

I think Valentine's Day might be the worst song ever made. It is just so unbelievably sappy and cry-baby-ish that it hurts to listen to.

see i feel the opposite about taproot's blue sky research. i just picked it up from the library to have something to listen to and ended up finding a connection with it,even though i thought it would suck. it really mirrored how i felt at the time.

same with this album.

i really think between all the good musician/bad musician, good songwriter/bad songwriter bullshit which really is just opinion in the end that you either have a connection to the music or don't

it's really as simple or as complicated or amazing or shitty as you want it to be.

I find it interesting to note that the "Linkin Park album making process" here consisted of accumulating over 100 songs and narrowing it down to the ones the band liked the most, and "Bleed it Out" made it. What the hell did they throw out?

Electric City-I've heard a couple of the rejected songs. QWERTY would've been my fav it they put it on the album. It's one of their best. And "All Roads Left But One" was also good. It's kinda like "Leave Out All The Rest"

QWERTY, sounded awesome when I heard it live...Chester started growling, I got all excited...then I heard this crap when it finally came out.

Ya on qwerty seemed like everything was stepped up..the guitars sounded like something a 5th grader cold play....rather than something a 1st grader could play on their past works. it just overall felt more metal....then the complete opposite is released

edit: said it before and ima say it again...in pieces is their best song they made thoughThis Message Edited On 05.02.08

I think Linkin Park just needs to grow some balls, and make a record with passion instead of what their record company wants. QWERTY is what LP could have been...

At least Phoenix can actually play his bass nowadays. If you can't hear the bass on Given Up, then you are deaf.

I thought this album was Ok when I first got it, but after listening to it for a while, it has definitely grown on me as a great album. A lot of the songs (Shadow Of The Day, Leave Out All The Rest & The Little Things Give You Away in-particular) show something LP hadn't really grasped in Hybrid Theory, but progressively tried on Meteora, is let their emotions run through the sound & lyrics of the songs, giving them meaning & effect, although other songs (Given Up, No More Sorrow & Bleed It Out) retain some of LP's heaviness, which will keep the "hardcore fans" satisfied. I am a fan of melodic/emotion powered music (that doesn't mean I'm a fan of emo music, you don't understand how many times people have said that to me, it pisses me off D=
