i'm very familiar with that castle!! it's one of the cathar castles which are mostly in the foothills of the pyrenees south and southeast of toulouse. they're smaller stone forts historically placed on mountain tops to communicate with one another with smoke signals, and so their placements are pretty majestic and picturesque, sometimes on sheer cliff fronts like this one: http://www.catharcastles.info/queribus/queribus_44.jpg or this one: http://www.roquefixade.fr/fpss/slideshows/roquefixade/images/diapo_5.jpg
