The big focus on acoustics gives this a lot of character imo

its a good album but im just never in the mood for it

Its the worst of the post-hiatus albums so yeah
|

Geddy does go crazy on Malignant Narcissism though

"Crotchy", eh? I'm thinking you meant, "crotchety", but maybe "crotchy" old men are your thing. Who am I to judge?

Jesus TMMB sounded so good live on R40

Apart from Far Cry and the instrumentals, this is dreadful. Plodding, unmelodic, wordy lyrics shoehorned into awkward melodies, Geddy yodels like a whimpering puppy... redeemed themselves thankfully with Clockwork Angels.

Far Cry, Armor and Sword, Spindrift, The Main Monkey Business, Faithless and Malignant Narcissism are all aces. It's true that Geddy is not at his best vocally. It was the beginning (since Vapor Trails?) of real difficulties for him in that matter.

Armor [2], Monkey [2], Workin Them Angels (was incredible live), Faithless [2], Malignant [2], and Bravest Face are my favorites here......i like this album
