Yeah but you’re biased, clearly you sort of like these guys a little. Although admittedly you might actually be right.

Frames is their best or at least more original. This one is an excelent combination of more known artists and bands. I think is unfair and a bit awkward to compare it with tool, but at least there's Oceansize's biggest fan putting Lateralus above it.

Women is one of the tracks that people like when i turn it on in my car, even my mother liked it until the guitars go into outburst-mode halfway through the song. It just is pure beauty

Yea the first time I listened to this in a while about a year ago, when I got back into this band in a major way, I was blown away with Women and knew this band had to be back in my life.
I'm jamming Vennart's new solo album Cure a Blizzard currently and I'm liking how much it sounds like Oceansize so far.

the 3 last tracks are fucking masterpieces. this album deserves an upgrade to 4.5, for sure
ps: "You Wish" and "Amputee' would be a great grunge alternative hit in 90's scenario

Amputee is much more of a vocal heavy alternative/ post rock track if you ask me but yeah it could have been a massive hit

Although i like Frames more this album has something special. A shame that the band broke up.
At least Vennart is playing with the best altrock band of all times ;)

the song-structures are mostly complex, so it does take a while to unpack. Their core sound is arguably fairly inviting otherwise. Good check either way. Fantastic band.

4.5, here we are.
I think it's diminishing returns with this band for me (although I still haven't listened to their final record yet), love the 90s grunge wall of sound they had on this one, which is still to be heard on EIP, but missing from Frames which I find slightly too proggy and weird for my tastes (but still great work).
