In Flames are disgustingly overrated and the only remotely comparable album of theirs would be whoracle which is still worse than half of DT's discography

Overrated? Gotta be kidding me, on this site their underrated. The problem is that DT has been making the same damn sound for over a decade now. Only a few of their albums have any amount of experimentation or even originality to them. If they hadn't brought back clean singing to this record they'd probably be stagnating.

um in flames is the definition of recycling the same watered down gothenburg riffing for 10 years before introducing excessively crappy clean vocals to appeal more to the mainstream.

What?! Dude, every one of their albums has been completely and utterly different from the last. There's no recycling going on at all.
DT helped create a more mainstream version of death metal. They failed to continue through with it - actually, they did, but they were put off by the negative response. IF wasn't.

dude are you nuts.Probably 80% of the crap melodeath bands out there who combine stale riffs with some clean singing are influenced by In Flames. In flames maybe pioneers of the genre but they're also leading to it's downfall.Good thing bands like DT are around to save the day. This Message Edited On 11.13.08

..Because DT didn't influence anyone. Of course.
And because being influential is a bad thing. Riiight.

of course they've been influential.I'm saying the crap bands were influenced by IF (eg:Sonic syndicate) where as some of the better melodeath bands out there are definitely DT and ATG influenced.

Character is probably in my top 10 albums of all time but this was nowhere near as good. "Terminus" and especially "Blind at Heart" are awesome but as a whole I found it a bit of a letdown. Still good but not as good as I'd hoped

So "Nothing to No One" is just boring? This album both begins and ends better than Character does.

he didn't say it was boring, he said it didn't impact him as much
