If I showed this album to a kid who listens to modern metalcore, they'd more than likely tell me this ain't metalcore. It isn't exactly formulaic.
I'm as far as you can get from an expert on the genre but there are three metalcore albums I'd hand to that kid and they'd probably hate all three, bless their soul.
