This review is obviously done by someone who either doesn't like the genre or doesn't know it very well. Gojira is fucking amazing (assuming you enjoy fast-pasted progressive extreme metal).

Well this is a great album, people should have an open mind and ears on the album review...this is a genre-defying one of a kind band. Try making music combining Meshuggah, Metallica, Morbid Angel, Tool and Mastodon in 1 album, then tell me if its easy!

I hate this guy's reviews, since they give only insight on his opinion and his alone. I think that's the problem with this guy's reviews, along with my old ones. I'll fix that, but will you, Nick?

First of all this reviewer should never be allowed to write anything ever again that pertains to music. There is absolutely no influence from mastodon or meshuggah, both good bands but I don't believe Gojira has ever used a computer to construct a whole album *cough meshuggah cough*. Second what the fuck would ever lead anyone to believe that this album is too heavy? Listen to Decapitated and yell about the heavy factor, if you can't take metal listen to something else. Also saying this band borrows heavily from mastodon because they use a similar album art is worthy of slaughter. They used a whale because there lyrics pertain to ecology and the planet (they are all very into Sea Shepard). There are so many beautiful lyrics and musical portions of this album It's not worth making fun of your incoherent stupidity. Alas as you'll notice just about every other review on the internet raves this album and their later release "the way of all flesh". Please don't soil good music with your unworthy ears from now on.
