This is the best 80s Priest album, way better than British Steel.

Screaming is easily their best 80s album. This is about equal to British Steel

British Steel is easily my favorite.

British Steel is such a big ass letdown after Stained Class just two years before. It's drum beats are ridiculously simple even if they are not compared to those of Binks or Travis, the lyrical themes were often less intelligent than songs like "Saints in Hell" or "Savage," and many of the solos are weaker than on albums before or after it. It was not bad, but the release a year later sure was.

fae 80s priest [2]. This rivals even Painkiller and almost can compete with Sad Wings.

I would say it's better, but this was a great album to prep young metalheads in the mid-80s for the coming epic attack six years later. It's too bad their next release was Turbo.

I wish they would have built on this album's direction instead of releasing a poor album in Turbo. It is a shame that Turbo represented this awesome band in one of metal's finest years.
