Review Summary: It's never truly OVOver
Drake hasn't been Nothing Was the Same since his Views changed up and he was For All the Dogs. The truth is If You're Reading This It's Too Late. Drake has dropped the latest in a series of elegant bachelors demonstrating a severe lack in correct judgement in regards to scoping the landscape of self rehabilitation.
Among the albums Drake has been releasing, he's often doing it for common wealth. Displacing the anger and gravitas of the situation with statutory beats that skate by on a glacier-like structure built entirely of frozen water. Iceman was the Niceman, or so he says, but looking back at his own actions Drake doesn't even question his own validity as an actor, stamping his past out like a ridiculous temper tantrum, no longer playing the boy in the wheelchair.
Try as he might Drake can't overcome Jimmy, grit his teeth and smile as he might, scratching just under the surface reveals more: layers. Drake is a ladies man, but a loser, similar to Johnny Bravo, he is also a cartoon character who survives unfathomable casualties. Drake's triple-cripple threat will ultimately lead to nothing but the inevitable: Drakemania.
Above all else, to act as if this situation was unscripted is foolish. As Drake puts it himself, it's all God's Plan. And according to God's plan Drake will always finish on top, because Drake isn't like a normal person, he's a Lovecraftian type entity that feeds on humiliation.
"I'm greater than everyone like shredded cheese"
I'm not saying I could do better, I'm saying probably most people would have the common sense to not do as bad. Funnily enough Drake has the common sense, but his lack of a proper self care routine leads to brain fog, and he hasn't yet learned how to differentiate truly effective natural medicines from scams, making it more difficult to not succumb to your base instincts. Drake said *** it, you want me to be the bad guy? I'll do you one better, I'll be The Notorious Mr. Evil Psycho.
It's hard to say whether this episode is the finale of Drake's Joker era or just another of many more to come, Drake seems to be continuously standing on the edge of a cliff threatening to jump until a big enough crowd forms just so he can unzip his fly and start pissing in the wind while looking back at everyone with a smug smirk, giggling to himself with tears in his eyes.
