This is a review to my most favorite soundtrack of my most favorite movie. It's a classic that can never be worn out no matter how many times you listen to it. Here are the songs...
1. Science Fiction/Double Feature-of course, sung by the classic red lips during opening credits. it's mellow yet the chorus comes out with a bang and it is awesome.
2. Dammit Janet-Who could for get the classic proposal sung by Brad and Janet in this awesome song. It makes me want to have the name Janet and have a boyfriend named Brad to propose to me so we can act out this song.
3. Over at the Frankenstein Place-Yet another classic(i'll pretty much say that after every song) the slow, lighter waving melody makes you want to go out in the rain with a newspaper on your head.
4. The Time Warp-Probably the most well known and classic on the cd. The scene where we are introduced to Riff Raff, Magenta, Columbia and everyone else. YOu cannot listen to it with out jumping to the left then stepping to the right,putting your hands on your hips bringing your knees in tight and doing the pelvic thrust and going insane. "LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN..."
5. Sweet Transvestite-Who could forget those first words out of Dr. Frank N Furters mouth and the first sight of him during this song. It's a classic song, scene, it's everything! It's awesome.
6.I Can Make YOu a Man-The song in which Dr. Frank N Furter is explaining how he will make Rocky a man. Great beat and yet another classic.
7. Hot Patootie, Bless my soul-You can't help but get up and dance as soon as you hear the opening chord to this song. Sung by none other than MEatloaf(eddie)it definately is...you guessed it...a CLASSIC.
8. I Can Make You a Man(reprise)-After Dr. Frank N Furter kills Eddie, he picks right back up where he left off as him and Rocky head off to bed while this song it's with and awesome guitar part to the wedding march. I love to play it.
9. Touch-A Touch-A Touch Me-I know this song was put on here to make us women dance in front of the mirror and feel sexy. It's the Classic scene where Janet comes out of her shell and makes love with Rocky."Touch-A Touch-A Touch-A touch me/i wanna be dirty/thrill me chill me full-fill me/creature of the night/". my favorite part of this song is the end when all the characters are saying "creature of the night" it's really cool.
10. Eddie-Dr.Everette Scott tells the tell of his nephew once they find out they are eating him for dinner. With a great rock n roll beat it's another song you can't help but dance to.
11.Rose Tint My World/Don't Dream It/Wild and Untamed thing-AH! The floor show. The best in my opinion. It starts of with the coolest and most fun guitar part on the cd, followed by a mellow and best quote, "Don't Dream it! BE IT!"Then it's upbeat again with "Wild and Untamed Thing". This is definatley my favorite on the soundtrack.
12.I'm Going Home-This song brings tears to my eyes. It is the last thing we hear from Dr. Frank N Furter before Riff Raff kills him.(if you haven't seen the movie i just ruined it for you)
13. Superheros-yet another sad song sung by Brad and Janet. It's slow and it is the very last thing in the movie after everything is gone.
14. Science Fiction Double Feature-Yet again in the end credits. Another sad ones as the words are changed to fit the end of the movie.
15. The time Warp(remix)-Really awesome. longer than the original and has alot of quotes from the movie in the middle. SWEETNESS!
16.The Time Warp(music)-Perfect for acting out the movie with your friends. This is the music for the time warp with no words.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my review. keep in mind it is my first EVER so it might be kind of bad. I just love the soundtrack so much and tend to ramble when i talk about it. All you Rocky Horror fans especially enjoy and if your not a fan yet, i HIGHLY recommend the soundtrack (and the movie!)
