Fat Mike - Vocals, Bass
Eric Melvin - Guitar, Vocals
El Hefe - Guitar
Eric Sandin - Drums
This is NOFX's fourth studio album, and the follow-up to such great albums such as "White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean", "S & M Airlines" and "Ribbed". A great guitar riff opens up the album, and it happens to be one of their most popular songs, "Linoleum". The next song is just as catchy, "Leave It Alone" was the song that introduced me to NOFX. It is still one of my favourite NOFX songs. There are a few flaws on the album, and one would be the song "My Heart Is Yearning". It has pretty funny vocals, but the song seems to drag on for me. The two end songs "Reeko" and "Scavenger Type" are also a bit of a disappointement.
A friend had told me all about these guys, and I had seen the video for "Leave It Alone" on TV, and at the very first oppertunity, I bought this album and it has grown on me from the moment I first heard it.
This album was released the same time as Bad Religion's "No Control" and "Against The Grain". Also, the BYO Split Series NOFX and Rancid participated in features songs from this album that Rancid covered ("Don't Call Me White", The Brews").
The album ends with some impressions from El Hefe. This made me literally laugh out loud the first time I heard it.
Recommended Tracks:
Linoleum
Leave It Alone
Don't Call Me White
Perfect Government
Lori Meyers
Punk Guy
The Cause
This album, is most definately their greatest and most popular album. Despite the flaws, I give this a 4.6/5

Damn you Brycey i told you i wanted to review this cd!:upset::mad: but good job anyway, id give it a 5/5 i think anyone could like this cd at least a little.
| | | You review it too! Post the review in this thread.
| | | seriously this is NOFX's masterpiece every song helps show off their humor, and poltical fury...I know people who are not even into punk who enjoy this cd..5/5 nice review Brycey
but Reeko kicked ***
| | | i cant say i really like it. i listened to the songs, my friend has the CD, and 90% of the songs have the same exact drum-beat... that and im just not really into the genre.
but i do admit, it IS better than most punk/pop-punk CDs ive heard.
| | | uh, i dont even listen to punk, but i know that all the drum patterns are the same on every punk song. that's what makes it punk. havent heard the album, only heard one NOFX song, which was on tv, and it turned me off NOFX forever. call me close minded, but i won't listen to a pop punk song again after hearing it. (it was called frankie american or something)
| | | haha... thrash metal's all i need. i am sure there's great pop-punk out there that i would love, but metal all the way for me! m/ and im far too lazy to look for it
p.s. i know im closed minded, but who cares?
and ive heard some blink 182 and sum 41!! so i have heard more than one pop-punk song :p do all you pop-punkers like those bands or what? i ****in hate them myself! but meh.
| | | i probably shouldnt judge pop punk by its mainstream huh?
im going to leave now.

| | | Nice review. This is a good cd. Definitely worth buying.
| | | good job home boy
this is there best cd
| | | Umm, well, first off, i dont find NoFX to be very pop-punk, but that's just me, they seem, depending on the song, a little harder then pop-punk. Second of all, ok, so some of the drum beats are the same, your point? The Brews is a different drum beat, but other then that, do you know how hard it is to play that music without a ***** double-bass drum? Sure, double bass can sound cool depending on who uses it, but NoFX shows what a real drummer can do given a 4 piece drum set, cymbals and sticks. They are a bitch'n band, put on a great live show, and diserve better then to be put down by some metal fan. Also, "...only heard one NOFX song, which was on tv, and it turned me off NOFX forever." Funny, cause there was only two songs played in the mainstream, Bottles to the Ground, and Leave it Alone. MTV and all that **** weren't into NoFX they didnt show their real talent by selecting only two songs and making people base them on those song, which is what you did.
Anyway, great review. I think Linoleum as an intro song is a great choice and this album was great. Was the second NoFX album i had bought after War on Errorism.
