Here is my first review, please be kind...

I bought this CD two days after it came out, so I'm finally doing a review of it. Yeah. Here goes.

1. Fire Up Ahead - Cool opening song. The lyrics are a little simple, but they work. A good fast, jump around-y song. Gets you right in. Before you know it a guitar solo hits you, and it hits you hard!...4.5/5

2. Makin' Sunshine - Cool drum beat. That was my first thought of the song. Lyrics are better than the first song, but sound really Trews-like, at least theyre sticking to their roots. Not really slow, but not fast enough either. Chorus is once again a little too simple. Decent song...4/5

3. Cry - Here we go, another upbeat song. It's all about leaving a girl, yawn, cliche. Not that catchy, but it's not bad either. I like the effects for the solo...3.5/5

4. Sweetness - Neat verses, but the chorus leaves a bit to be desired. The riff is fun, it compliments the song well. Meh, next song...4/5

5. I Can't Say - A slow song now. Not quite a ballad, but slow enough. Not as good as You're So Sober from House of Ill Fame, and the chorus is a little bit too fast. Starts to get faster near the end. I like this song, despite it shortfalls. It's plenty catchy, which is what a song needs...4.5/5

6. So She's Leaving - The first single off the album, and with good reason. Awesome riff, upbeat, classic Trews lyrics. I LOVE it! Always sing along...5/5 (6/5 if I could, but I'll leave it at 5/5)

7. Yearning - Opening riff almost sounds like AC/DC, which is good in my book. Kind ofslower than So She's leaving, almost seems like a transitional song. It's alright, but still not one of my favourites...3.5/5

8. The Pearl (More Than Everything) - I like this song. The guitar sounds neat, a little bit complex, but thats never bad. The chorus isn't as good as the verses, which seems like a trend on this album. Good song, still not the best, but worth a few listens...4/5

9. Poor Ol' Broken Hearted Me - Opens up sounding like a country song, lyrics back that up. Love the chorus in this song. It's still simple, but It's very effective. It's neat hearing the whole band singing along. This song got me up playing air guitar. You might as well put that image out of your mind...5/5

10. Ana & Mia - Not that memorable. Good song, but could have been better...3.5/5

11. Naked - Another slower opening. This one stays slower throughout most of the song for once. This is one of the stronger songs on the album, in my opinion. Touching lyrics+good music work+catchy chorus=...5/5

12. Montebello Park - Another good song. The riff is very catchy, and the solo is one of the better ones on the album. A decent chorus too...4.5/5

13. Got Myself to Blame - Awesome song. Catchy chorus, albeit very simple, as well as some great verses. The simplicity is what sets this song back, it could have been a little better...4.5/5

14. The Traveling Kind - A cool song. Talks about not waiting for a girl. Not as fast as some other songs on the album, but still good. Nice and Catchy too...4.5/5

15. Ishmael & Maggie - An awesome song, sort of talks about Moby Dick. A good way to end the album...4/5

Overall...4/5

I dont like this band too much, they are constantly on the radio in Canada so i've heard too much.

Even though you probably won't see this seeing how old this review is, the review could of had some more detail and a little bit of history abou the album/band.

Very good album. Every time I listen to this album, every song sounds fresh, even So She's Leaving. Heard it a million times on the radio.
