Review Summary: Huge improvement from their albums and also with great lyrics too. And it is really "the most musical album they've recorded".
This is the long awaited album for Staind fan, at least for me. They said "the most musical album we've recorded", and it is true if we listen the improvement to their instruments, listen how beautiful opening of most songs, and that's great.
For me, the best songs of this album are :
This Is It
Believe
All I Want
Lost Along The Way
Raining Again
Believe is also their first single, has too much similiarity to a song from their previous album "Chapter V" that titled "Right Here". Listen how similiar is the opening, reff, and some part when Aaron sing it louder at near the end of the song. But it's great tough, so it will not be a real problem.
"This Is It", "All I Want", "Lost Along The Way" are songs that are too Staind-ish, when you hear it, you must recognize that this is Staind's song, it's hard to describe why I say this, but if you listen to their songs, you'll know. And they are good reliable songs to hear if you expect similiar Staind's music.
"Raining Again" have the most beautiful opening, with a nice reff part. And "Tangled Up In You" delivers a new sensation of Staind's music, similiar to "Epiphany" from "Break The Cycle" album, a rare style of music that Staind released. While the rest is pretty plain for me, a little disappointment for me, but it is enjoyable too.
Overall, this is a great album for Staind fans. They really improved and most of their song here is enjoyable.
