You'd assume they worked their way up to Arise's unique blend of Venom and Killing Joke from more humble beginnings, but no: their early stuff is even more idiosyncratic. Ugly crusty riffs balanced with weirdly melodic guitar textures draped over almost ambient rhythmic sparseness.
