Unrecognised frontrunner for year's best DM song. a stellar step up from what was already a very strong showing in their last album, Doomed has Defacement executing at near perfection on all their disparate influences. The ambient sections are moody, emotional and highly memorable, and these powerfully contrast the overwhelming wall of sound dynamic they bring on other tracks. Doomed sees them bringing an additional focus on layering - the bridge of Unrecognised has at least 3, possibly more, layered guitar tracks that work seamlessly

Massive album. The improvement this band makes with each album is very commendable. Atmosphere is dense, with beautiful interludes and suffocating, building themes in songs. Final song is especially climactic. Splendid stuff.
