Admittedly, each new entry in the 'Day' series feels less impactful, but with 'Someday' we have breached the territory of the afterthought record. The least memorable, most underproduced, most inconsequential songs in the series and many in Fucked Up's run. What's left of their erstwhile punk has turned into a growly pop-rock, buzzing but largely empty. Its highest peaks are indeed still heavy hitting, but I cannot help and feel severely underwhelmed.
