Ye's madness circles back to clever artistry far more often than you'd think for how insane he is irl. Bully feels like an album about nothing, which works in his favor not having to think about his manic lyricism in recent years and with the odd video it amounts to basically abstract hip hop. Sonically his richest work in a while and the uncanny AI vocals bend away from a centerpiece into a strange, unsettling musical texture. Not everything's great, but strangely not bad.

more lazy unfocused unfinished ye, now ai-generated. it's interesting in that it sounds
vaguely like music, but it just doesn't pass the litmus test for 'actual music' nor does
anything experimental enough to actually break any new ground.
people can use ai as a good starting point to build off of, but so far this feels like it's
on step 2.
