This is an incredible progressive / experimental / electro-rock / metal, which refuses a normal genre bending classification but also itīs extremely good played and developed, being also vintage and retrofuturistic.

A sprawling jam that mostly lets go of skramzy shit to focus on proggy shit instead. Clearly a live deep cut, it feels like the conclusion to one of their shows. Shame my ass is currently sitting on my couch; this odyssey would for sure sound better live. Motherfuckers better release a volume 2 tho.

Incredibly fun prog jam that is full of rhythm changes and ideas. Compared to their usual stuff, the keyboardist is a lot mroe of a highlight here. The only issue is that this is "just" a prog jam; it hardly gets out of that mode, and doesn't really attempt to build anything from that. There are a couple sections with vocals but they're pretty short and tbh I dont think the vocals fit all that well. But man if that's not a fun jam. 4.0

I LOVE PROG GOSPEL I LOVE PROG GOSPEL I LOVE PROG GOSPEL I LOVE PROG GOSPEL anyway 4/5 with room to grow, as expected from a 20 minute track. Huge on the instrumentals, with interspersed lyrics every five minutes or so. If you don?t like this, you?ve gotta give it a couple more tries I promise you?ll see more in it to appreciate

A step up from The Loser, MVDM captures the band's uncanny ability to create a flowing, cohesive musical narrative as they do in TMIADW, even if it lacks some of its energy.
