This band continues to go from strength to strength, but I still didn't expect a Lychgate EP to come so soon after arguably the finest Esoteric release yet. Chandler really doesn't settle down does he?

It?s not anything amazing, but if you want some post-metal inspired death metal then this might be your speed. For me it?s missing a lot of what I love about progressive metal that they are trying to do.

A failed experiment. Lychgate try combining modern djenty progressive metal with black metal, however due to the polar differences of these genres along with my dislike for djent it doesn?t work for me at all. The crytal clear (and conpressed may I add) production teally doesn?t fit the BM at all, and the bad mix sounds weird for the proggy stuff. Nah.
