I thought I was going to despise this EP after listening to the opening track a while back and being turned off by it initially. But after listening to the EP in full I really like it! Essentially its mostly acoustic with "The Hound and The Fox" being the most experimental. They chose mostly my favorite tracks off of Connector and made a really interesting EP out of it. The addition of strings, horns and some acapella elements really add to these tracks in ways I totally wasn't expecting to enjoy as much as I do! As someone previously said, it would be really fun to see them expand on these ideas in the future.

Some hits, some misses. I like "The Hound and the Fox", not a fan of "The Lying Eyes of Miss Erray". Overall interesting though

Neat EP, interesting but not mind blowing. Very cool instrumentation and vision on "The Hound and the Fox" and "Andrew's Song".

It's amazing how Connector made this one of my favorite bands. This EP is what I expected Brent's solo LP to be. I think the electronic thing in Miss Erray could have been fleshed out a bit more (yet it's still good) and Slow Dancing Forever, although nice was clearly inferior to the original (which is unfortunate since that's one of my favorites). Still, The Hound and The Fox's jazz arrangement is brilliant and Andrew's Song is beautiful. Playing Catch With .22 was good too with my only gripe being that the last part from the original song was left out. Overall a very cool idea and I hope they expand on these style's in the future.
