I have a huge soft spot for I, Colossus. I know its not super great, but I find it to be a such a satisfying listen. This almost breaks the mold of being satisfying. The vocals are weaker than I, Colossus (which makes sense as it is a new vocalist) and the synth doesn't add anything to the mix, if anything it makes things worse. The main culprits for the synth are The Devouring Storm and Nothing Ever Lasts. The former has some of the worst synth I've ever heard put into a song. Is it a bad album? Nah. Is it great? No. This is an average experience, and its very reminiscent of the old Rise days, just with a bit more fluff.
