Interesting mix of traditional metal with melodic guitar leads a la Iron Maiden, and thrash tendencies with riffing that brings to mind Metallica or Iced Earth. Spellcaster began as a thrash metal band, but Night Hides the World is mostly an ode to '80s heavy metal. The vocals might remind to some that of Ghost even though the highlight of the album is the guitarwork. Overall, a great effort with solid songwriting.
