3.3 greatmanosg EMERITUS | July 15th 17

New album from the Greek outfit which remained in the shadows for far too long. The good news is that the band seems to have returned to their late '90s gothic death/doom sound which was probably the peak of their creativity and for those who are already familiar with them, the female vocals and violin are still an important element of their music which gives emphasis on creating atmospheric soundscapes. The extend to which one enjoys Eternal Silence will depend on Maxi Nil's vocals (which admittedly I'm not a big fan) and the fact that this album is deeply rooted on a sound which reigned almost 20 years ago. All in all, a very good effort and once On Thorns I Lay shake their rust off, they might be able to do even better.
